چکیده
The outbreaks caused by Vibrio spp. are a notable threat to the potential growth of economy penaeid culture, which is still controlled administration antibiotics. At first, infected group was subjected phenotypic bacteriological examination with subsequent molecular identification via 16S rRNA gene sequencing, confirmed four strains spp., V. atlanticus, natriegens, alginolyticus, and harveyi, from moribund-infected shrimp during mortality events in an Egyptian hatchery. To better understand defense mechanism most effective antibiotic against strains, immune responses were compared evaluated Litopenaeus vannamei broodstock after being fed 5 mg kg?1 florfenicol antibiotic, first determined through vitro antibiogram tests. Therefore, our study aimed determine response L. infection hatcheries medication. parameters assessed total differential hemocyte count (THC), granular cells (GC), semi-granular (SGC), hyaline (HC). As well as metabolic enzymes: alanine aminotransferases (ALT), aspartate (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), acid (ACP), lysozyme activity; antioxidant index, such superoxide dismutase (SOD) glutathione (GSH); phagocytic assay; changes reactive oxygen species (ROS); bactericidal activity hemolymph control, infected, treated groups. Further evaluation mRNA expression levels prophenoloxidase (LvproPO), toll-like receptor 1 (LvToll1), haemocyanin (LvHc) genes performed hepatopancreas same A significant drop THC, GC, SGC, HC counts, activities, assay, ROS, SOD, GSH represented control shrimp; however, marked increase ALT, AST, ALP, ACP observed. These activities significantly restored shrimp. Nevertheless, no noted transcriptional LvproPO LvToll1 when suppression LvHc noted. Our We concluded that medicated feed could be controlling vibriosis ameliorating

Effect of water temperature on the immune response of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei to Vibrio alginolyticus
White shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei held in 25x seawater at 27 8C or 28 8C were injected with TSB-grown Vibrio alginolyticus at 1 10 colony-forming units (cfu) shrimp 1 or 1 10 cfu shrimp , and then cultivated onward at water temperatures varying from 20 to 34 8C. Over 24–144 h, mortality of V. alginolyticus-injected shrimp held at 34 8C or 32 8C was significantly higher than that of shrimp held ...
متن کاملVaccination Enhances Early Immune Responses in White Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei after Secondary Exposure to Vibrio alginolyticus
BACKGROUND Recent work suggested that the presence of specific memory or some form of adaptive immunity occurs in insects and shrimp. Hypervariable pattern recognition molecules, known as Down syndrome cell adhesion molecules, are able to mount specific recognition, and immune priming in invertebrates. In the present study, we attempted to understand the immune response pattern of white shrimp ...
متن کاملLysozyme gene expression by hemocytes of Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei, after injection with Vibrio.
The purpose of this study was to quantify the gene expression of lysozyme, an important antibacterial protein produced by shrimp hemocytes, within tissues of Litopenaeus vannamei Boone in response to a pathogen challenge. We quantified lysozyme transcripts with a real-time PCR method and used these data, along with total hemocyte counts, to infer patterns of hemocyte trafficking during the immu...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...
